He is a very handsome neutered male Anatolian Shepherd x Great Pyrenees mix, estimated DOB August 2023. We don't know where Theo came from but, considering the shape he was in when he came to us, we're pretty sure he's had a rough time in his young life. Theo came to us with open wounds on his face and he was absolutely terrified and shut down when he was in the shelter. He was too scared to even stand up, he had to be carried outside. Through all of this, he never once showed any hint of aggression. He was scared but was 100% docile with everyone who handled him. Theo has has made a considerable amount of progress since he has been in foster care. He's learned that its a lot of fun to be in the house and get belly rubs every day. He's acclimated to the multi-dog pack in his foster home where he gets along well with everyone. We feel he may do best in a home with another dog. He has good manners indoors and is housebroken. Theo did test positive for heartworms but he is asymptomatic and is being treated with the doxy/moxy treatment plan. He has no restrictions on activity and he should test negative within 12 months. ___________________________________________________________________ NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.
