Meet pretty Miss Nala!  She is a beautiful female Anatolian Shepherd dog or mix, we estimate her DOB to be February 2023.

Miss Nala was surrendered by her owners who had misjudged their ability to properly care for such a large breed puppy.

Nala is a very smart girl and, true to her breed character, she has a bit of a stubborn streak as well.  She is potty trained and crate trained and has good manners in the house for a young pup.  Of course, she IS still a puppy so all bets are off when it comes to leaving shoes, slippers, socks, etc lying around!  

Nala is doing well with basic training.  As mentioned, she does have a bit of a stubborn streak so even though she may know what you are asking her to do, it doesn't mean she is always going to do it!

She enjoys playing with the male dogs in her foster home.  She has not been tested with female dogs.   She loves the kitties but, given her size and interest, she will do best with a dog savvy, assertive cat who isn't afraid to give her a swat when needed.  She is not aggressive in any way but she does like to chase and play.

Nala's perfect home will have a male companion dog who is close to her age and size.

Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route​ ​

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
