Meet Beau!  He is a super handsome male Anatolian Shepherd mix puppy.  Mom looks to be purebred Anatolian (see picture) .  Daddy was a traveling salesman.  Beau will grow to be a large sized puppy(over 50 pounds) with an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years.  Please be sure you are able to commit to a lifetime of care and responsibility for a dog his size.

Observations from foster mom, August 1, 2023:

Beau is my snuggle bug. He looks the least like an Anatolian Shepherd although he did get one rear dew claw from his Mom. He is shorter of leg and rounder of ribcage and softer fur and markings sort of like Bernese Mountain Dog. He isn’t keen on loud, rambunctious people, but he is an adventurous puppy and can hold his own pretty well with his siblings as long as they don’t gang up on him, which they have a tendency to do. He loves to curl up on or beside me when I sit on the floor with this happy joyful face for belly rubs. Unfortunately he thinks chewing on my wrist is the best way to show love, but we are working on that. Because he wasn’t feeling well for a few days, and often gets pushed off his food by his litter mates, we have been having him eat and sleep in a separate crate from his siblings and after the first night, he seems to be fine with it. In fact, when the puppies see me getting their meals ready, Beau will go and sit in his crate. What a smart boy.
