Meet Maggie. She is approximately 2 to 3 years old, spayed female Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is heartworm negative, fully vetted and in good health. Maggie weighs about 85 lbs.
Maggie's owners adopted her last summer but are finding that she is not a good match for them as she does not like to share her food with other dogs. Because of this, their other dog is now afraid of her.
Maggie's owner tells us that she is good with most dogs and has been good with cats. As mentioned, she doesn't like to share food or treats with other dogs but is not possessive of food with humans.
She will do best if fed in her own separate space. Having said that, Maggie really is a sweet girl. She is housebroken, leash trained and knows basic commands. She has good manners in the house but does like to shred her stuffed toys.
She is friendly with all people, including children. She loves to go on walks and hikes.
Maggie has no experience with livestock and, since she is mixed with an unknown breed, she is not suitable to be with livestock or chickens.
Maggie will make a wonderful family companion!
