Meet Oskar! He is a 4 year old neutered male Anatolian Shepherd Dog.  He was picked up as a stray and not reclaimed so NASRN pulled him and took him into foster care.  

Oskar is housebroken and has good manners in the house. He is a people pleaser and responds to commands nicely.  He enjoys being around his people!  

Oskar is good with other dogs who are laid back and easy going like he is.  

Please note that Oskar has not been evaluated with children or cats.

Oskar did test heartworm positive so he is being treated with slow kill method. 
He is not showing any signs or symptoms and his prognosis is good for a full recovery.  Slow kill method consists of giving him a monthly dose of heartworm preventative.  

Overall, Oskar is a very nice boy, he is very sweet natured and easy going, yet he is true to the Anatolian character and is protective of his home.

• If you are within 1,000 miles, we can usually help with transport using volunteer drivers (depending on the route/availability of volunteers).
• If you live farther than 1,000 miles, we can still assist, however, the adopting party will need to drive any mileage over 1,000 miles.  For example, if you live 1200 miles away, you would have to drive 200 miles out.
