Meet Sarge! This super handsome young fella is looking for an adoptive home. His current humans are having a baby in the next couple of months and won't have time to take proper care of him after their new little human arrives: They also have a very small yard that is just not enough room for him to properly stretch his legs and perform zoomies. He isn't overly vocal, so at least at his current home, barking has not been an issue for him.

Sarge was purchased as a nine week old puppy from a breeder, Shank Family Farms, and is now about 11 months old.  He is neutered and current on all his shots: As of this listing, he was heartworm free. They have always crated him when people come over, so are not sure how he reacts to visitors in his home. Right now, he sleeps on the floor in the master bedroom and does not seem to suffer from separation anxiety while crated. He still needs some help understanding that a leash is his friend, so will need someone to help him with that, but his people say he does know other basic commands like sit. He is currently in a home with two other dogs; one large and one medium and has been exposed to children under 5; however, any questions about this should be addressed to his owner, whose contact information is below.

His current people think Sarge would like a home where he can be outside more often in a large fenced yard; he likes roaming around and checking things out. He has two dog buddies at his current home, but prefers to eat alone; or at least in a separate place from his pals. He also does not care for his friends taking his toys and bones, so will need some help learning to share. Sarge also is very protective of his yard and let the neighbor man know that reaching over the fence was NOT a very good idea by means of giving him a little nip.

He has never been around livestock or cats, so he is looking for a companion home without livestock or cats.
