--------------------

My name is Coach. I’m a 1.5 to 2-yr. old Anatolian Shepard mix. They say that I am neutered, micro-chipped and fully vetted. I originally came to a local shelter as a stray and was quickly adopted a returned all in the same week.

You see, I’m a big boy but I’m also sensitive and a little timid with new situations. I was taken to an off-leash park but kept on leash. I was so confused and scared. After that experience they decided I was not a good fit.
Luckily a volunteer who loved me contacted Lucky Paws to help me find the right home. I am getting 30 days of training boot camp with Muck Creek Kennels to help refine my doggy skills. (like getting in and out of the car, I don’t like it and when a 95lb dog puts the breaks on you’re not going anywhere)
The lucky adopter will be able to come to the facility and have up to 4 training sessions before I leave which is included in my adoption at no extra cost!
I would do best in a home with no small children and a large breed experienced owner. I’m the type of dog who will bond deeply with my family.
I do love my toys and can wait to play ball with you.

They tell me that they don't know if I am ok with cats so the rescue feels the best thing for me is to be a cat free home.

Here is what they trainer has to say about me.

Coach is here at MCK for basic obedience training and learning not to jumping on people.

Coach is moderately food-motivated and housebroken as he is clean in his kennel and his outdoor run.

Coach is working on basic obedience, i.e. SIT, HERE, HEEL, DOWN, OFF He is doing great and is ready for his forever home. We are also working on ignoring livestock and vehicles. His recall responses are improving everyday that he has been here. Coach has moderate exercise needs but loves his human. Given sufficient exercise, Coach is happy to curl up and just hang out with you.

Coach is a very affectionate dog. He loves to be touched and petted. He particularly enjoys having his ears and neck rubbed. At the same time, he is not what I would call “needy”. He tolerates being inspected all over, including ears and feet.

Coach is doing well in the kennel environment. He relaxes in the kennel and doesn’t show any signs of unusual stress or nervousness. We think he will do even better in a home environment with people around him.

He’s a gentle giant but he can be a little clumsy, so toddlers are not a good fit. He has a tendency to chase along the fence line so if your neighbor has a reactive dog, this is probably not going to work. He has some doggie friends at the kennels. We are working hard to fix his chasing but he could easily relapse under heavy temptation. The very best situation for Coach would provide some visual seclusion from vehicles and livestock. A fenced yard is a must.

After reading all of this about me I hope that you will reach out the rescue that loves me and is helping me find you.

I look forward in hearing from you!
Coach
