Meet sweet Abby. Abby is a young, incredibly smart Anatolian mix. And beautiful too! She was rescued from a shelter in Alabama and brought to Wisconsin. This poor girl had a rough start in life, including being positive for heartworms. She has been successfully treated and given a clean bill of health. Her lack of care in her early life has not spoiled her very sweet temperament. Abby loves people and is very laid back with a medium energy level.
Like many Anatolians, she's a little defensive with new dogs but does very well once she gets to know them. Abby is currently living with 3 other dogs at her fosster home. A slow introduction over a couple of days helped ease the tension, and now they are getting along great. Abby still loves to play, so she would enjoy having a young, even-tempered, energetic playmate.
Abby is very sensitive and responsive and learns quickly. She is fairly quiet and only barks to alert you to something important. She most likely never lived in a home prior to coming to Wisconsin, but has picked up house-training with no accidents. Abby does well when supervised in the house, but can still get into a little trouble when left alone. She also walks very well on leash and is learning other good manners while in foster care.
Overall, Abby is a very special girl just looking for a loving home. Please contact us for more information on adopting sweet Abby.
