Neeko is a 6 year old spayed female Anatolian Shepherd Dog.  Her owner did not have fencing to keep her home and therefore relinquished her to the shelter.  

Neeko is a very sweet and beautiful girl.  She is typical of the Anatolian character and can be a bit stubborn and is also very good at watching over her home and family.  She is housebroken, walks on leash and knows basic commands.

We have not tested her with children under 5 but she is good with elementary school aged kids (see video) and is friendly with adults.  Neeko has been good with all of the dogs in her foster home and can be a bit playful here and there.

She tested low positive for heartworms and we have been treating her with slow kill method. She shows no signs or symptoms and the vet predicts she will have a clean bill of health post treatment.  NASRN will continue to pay for her treatment.  Please email us for more information.  She is not contagious to people or other animals.

Neeko is such a lovable girl and she so desperately wants a home and family to call her own.  She has been waiting for a long time to be a part of a family.

She is available for our Foster-To-Adopt program, as well.
