Meet Honey!  She is an adorable female Anatolian Shepherd mix puppy.  Mom looks to be purebred Anatolian (see picture).  Daddy was a traveling salesman.  Honey will grow to be a large sized puppy (over 50 pounds) with an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years.  Please be sure you are able to commit to a lifetime of care and responsibility for a dog her size.

Honey will do best in a home with a male dog who is close to her age, size and activity level.

Honey is our bold adventurer. She faces new experiences with tail up and head high. She hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like, even the rambunctious and sometimes noisy boys who have come to visit. She has also loved every dog she’s ever met and is convinced that she can get them to love and play with her too. Honey is happiest when she is with a human or another dog, although she has become accustomed to eating and sleeping by herself, now that her brothers have all gone on to their adoptive homes. She is housebroken (as long as her puppy schedule is kept) and walks pretty well on leash. We’ve been slowly introducing her to our two cats, and have got to the point that they can be in the same room together without her barking or chasing them as long as they don’t make any fast moves. It is a work in progress but I feel confident that she will figure it out because she is a really smart girl. She would do well in a family where her intelligence and energy have a positive outlet.

Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you are located and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.

Veterinary reference is required on all adoptions.
