Meet Zeke!  He is a super handsome male Anatolian Shepherd mix puppy.  Mom looks to be purebred Anatolian (see picture) .  Daddy was a traveling salesman.  Zeke will grow to be a large sized puppy with an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years.  Please be sure you are able to commit to a lifetime of care and responsibility for a dog his size.

Observations from foster mom, August 1, 2023:

Zeke has markings more like a German Shepherd than an Anatolian Shepherd, but he has double dew claws on both back feet. Actually, he looks a lot like a Beauceron which seems unlikely but possible. He isn’t as tall as Goose, but is very solid and also has large feet. I have been impressed with Zeke’s calm focus around my terrified cat who was exploring the puppy pen when I brought the puppies inside from play time. The cat was freaked out, but Zeke just stood and calmly stared. He is very interested, but doesn’t bark or pounce. He also loved interacting with the neighbor boys. He is trusting and people-oriented. I have a feeling about this boy that he will become someone’s best-dog-ever as long as they give him a reliable schedule and consistent, calm leadership. He already seems to be looking for some independence from his littermates and would like a human companion that he doesn’t have to wrestle for with Honey.

Transport assistance may be available within appx 1000 miles depending on where you  are located and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Veterinary reference is required on all adoptions.
