Meet Goose!  He is a super handsome male Anatolian Shepherd mix puppy.  Mom looks to be purebred Anatolian.  Daddy was a traveling salesman.  Goose will grow to be a large sized puppy with an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years.  Please be sure you are able to commit to a lifetime of care and responsibility for a dog his size.

Observations from foster mom Aug 1, 2023:

Goose (fawn with black mask, blue collar) is the tallest of the puppies. He seems the most Anatolian Shepherd-like in both his looks and personality. He has the double dew claws typical of Livestock Guardian breeds on one back leg and a single dew claw on the other. His tail forms the 1 ¼ curl when held erect. He has huge feet and will probably be a pretty good sized dog. He is very alert to new noises and sights and a little bit more reserved with his affection. He is the one who will sit or lay happily beside me and just gaze into my eyes, offering a gentle kiss rather than the ecstatic leaping. He will be an excellent companion for a person who respects his desire to evaluate new things thoroughly rather than immediately take them as non-threatening. The few leash training sessions I’ve had with him have gone very well.

Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you are located and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Veterinary reference is required on all adoptions.
