Daisy's foster mom is moving out of the country and cannot take Daisy, therefore she is in need of either a foster, foster-to-adopt or adoptive home.

This is Daisy Mae.  She is an adult spayed female Anatolian Shepherd, appx 5 years old. Heartworm negative!

*Apartment homes, townhomes/condos will be considered for Miss Daisy.*

Daisy has likely never had a real home or a family of her own.  She showed up at someone's property several years ago and they provided food and water and a shed to go into for shelter.  
Her basic survival needs were met but she was never a part of the family. 

Daisy's past remains a mystery but, at some point, she sustained an injury to her back.  At this point the vet has recommended allowing her vertebrae to fuse naturally which should be around October, 2022.  She does not have any degenerative disc disease.  Daisy enjoys short walks and takes carprofen on days when she is experiencing pain. 

Other than this issue, Daisy is in good health.  Her bloodwork is completely normal and she has no other health problems.  She truly has more good days than bad and truly does enjoy the simple pleasures in life..... warm, soft bed.  A human to snooze next to, and a yummy treat here and there!

Daisy is good with male dogs (we have not tested her with females).   Daisy is wonderful with cats!  She is friendly with people and is also good with children.  She may be a bit why when meeting new people but once she knows you, she is very sweet and friendly.

Sweet Daisy has wonderful manners in the house, she is fully housebroken and not destructive.  Her one bad habit is she has been known to surf a counter or two!

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
