Meet Anton! This poor boy has had a terrible life thus far and we are hoping he can find a loving family to help him put his past behind him.
Anton is approximately 2 years old, is heartworm negative and weighs about 90 lbs. He will be neutered soon as he is still in recovery after his former owner purposely starved him in an attempt to kill him and eight other dogs.
The owner was arrested in September and the dogs were seized. At the time they were seized, the dogs had went without food for nearly two weeks and survived on only rain water. The pictures behind chain link were taken on the property from where he was seized. These are the only pictures we can can share due to the horrifically graphic nature of the scene. The other two pictures are more recent and taken appx 2 months after he was rescued.
Despite the suffering he has lived through, Anton is as sweet as pie. He is good with other dogs and friendly with people. He has not been tested with cats, children or livestock.
Take a look in this boy's eyes. He is pure love and, amazingly, seems to hold no grudges against humans.
