VISTA, CALIFORNIA Meet Ares! He is a 6 yo neutered male Anatolian Shepherd Dog. He is an extra large boy, weighing around 145 lbs Ares is a gentle giant. He is on the shy side, so a confident gentle handler is a must. He loves love, and will actively seek out affection from anyone within reach! His leash skills have improved, but still, need work and he knows no commands. He seems to enjoy having a more confident dog around to help him feel more secure and is still unsure about cats. He has shown mild interest in a tennis ball but doesn't seem to care about any other toys. He does enjoy destroying things, so a sacrificial cardboard box helps keep him busy! He has shown no resource guarding behavior and takes treats nicely. Ares is very tolerant of handling because you're petting him! Overall he is a kind soul in need of a home dedicated to confidence building. Transport options may be available within 1000 miles, depending on where you live.
