HICKORY, NORTH CAROLINA; **NEEDS ADOPTION** "TEDDY"

Teddy is an 1 year old, 90 lb, male Anatolian Shepherd that was picked up by animal control because he kept getting into a neighbor's garbage. He was eventually surrendered to the shelter by his owner because they did not have a fence and could not keep him from wandering off.  

Teddy is very friendly, good with other dogs, seems trustworthy with cats, up-to-date on all vaccinations, worming and flea/tick preventatives. He tested positive for heartworms and has been started on the slow kill method. Teddy will be neutered as soon as he puts on a little weight.

Teddy would like you to know that he is looking for a permanent home and promises to stay out of your garbage (with a little guidance). He is not trained as a livestock guard dog and he has no desire to guard livestock. He will need a securely fenced yard.
